  • Well we are still in the middle of winter and got the heater on. Its suppose to be -2C tonight Anyway rather than watching movies "give that stuff a break" I decided to listen to a few old LP records that I have not listened to in a very long time. First up was the double LP album "This Is The Moody Blues" I bought this one back in 1975 and consider it one of the best, Second up was "Bonnet Belt and Sword" 1967 by The Corries . I had bought the cassette back I think around 1971, but have lost the tape somewhere years ago but still got the cassette case. Thankfully I found a excellent LP of that title in a second hand shop a few years back.

We went to a few of "The Corries" live in Scotland back in the late 1960s early 1970s round about that time, and always enjoyed there music, so tonight with the benefit of a LP recording, it was great to once again listen to there music and step back in time.

With the lights doing there thing, its nice to sit back look at the screen and the turntable and listen to a bit of LP music, and keeping warm with the heater going as well got to have that.

      • Being the "winter" school holidays at the moment I asked my grandson who is staying with us to bring over his PS4 and show me how it works. We did play a car game together, but his instructions to me, like.... press this no press that.... after a while I decided to give up, which I am pretty sure "he" thought "was" a good idea .

The conclusion I came to, that I am useless at it anyway as I abandon ship on this one, my son turned up, so I quickly handed him the controls its yours I am out of here. After a while he came in the house. I asked where is Conner? he is playing with a friend, but I said how is that he is on his own, "internet" was his reply. I am "so" out of touch with the ways of the world these days, better stick to running the old Ernemann 2 projector .

          • Last night I had a listen to the LP soundtrack of The Great Escape, the quality of this recording of the Original soundtrack is outstanding. If you are into LPs and music from films, I would highly recommend getting this one.

              • Early Saturday morning, nice winters day and across the road they are getting ready to start a day of rugby.

For me it was feeding the little birdies, until they quickly disappeared on the arrival of some magpies. Now those guys are not to be mess with, and can attack if they feel "you" are a threat. They are scared of nothing, but in saying that, I understand magpies have facial recognition, and do remember if you are nice to them, equally they will remember if "you" are not

Anyway I fed them as well, and they stayed only for a short while then headed of, quickly the little birdies returned .

                          • Mind blowing week!

Took my Eumig HID lamp machine converted by my own hands into a REEL Cinema setting and onto a very VERY large screen for a private test screening. REEL IMAGE magazine will have the full results in a exclusive article and so many thanks to the cinema for helping with the tests.
