      • Just watched A View to a Kill pre-credit and title again for probably the 5th time in the last 2 weeks.

A few days ago watched Casino Royale (2006). Stunning edit and picture. One of the best ever action reels on Super 8.

        • Terminator III Crane chase. Arnie paid for that sequence to be produced and what a difference it made to the film.

            • One Elmo 800 foot reel of

1...Tom and Jerry in Tee for Two
2....Motor Mania stunning color print bought new from Derann many moons ago.
3....Peace On Earth 1939 another stunning color print. PS The later 1955 Good Will to Men in Scope, is one of the best films I have on that format, its also a stunning sharp color/sound print.
4....Suzie The Little Coupe excellent color sound print.
5....and to finish Tom and Jerry in Smarty Cat from 1955

              • We watched the very good Sherlock Holmes feature, " The Scarlet Claw", the best of that series, in our opinion.

                • Piccolo Film's 400' Planet Der Vampire. Another candidate for re-recording.

                  • I could say I watched hundreds of lilms last night, but only bits of them so only two films.
That is Pieces of Silver (Reflections USA on the box) and Reflections, Derann LPP prestripe.

                    • Watching some Scope trailers today which included this one this past you-tube of it does not do it justice, as to the picture quality which is even better than shown. Over the weekend I must screen my flat 3/400 footer its on one reel and see how the print has held up. Without doubt the full length Scope feature would be even better, anyone got one?

PS Although I was blown away by the color photography when I first watched it at the cinema many moons ago, I think it would have to be later than its 1962 release, anyway its a film that has always stuck in my mind

                        • Yesterday giving my old ST1200 with "Mutiny on the Bounty". The film being 3/400 ft reels placed one one of my home made reels. Although the print has faded a bit, the blue filter placed in front of the Elmo 1.1 lens does take the edge of it. Screen shots are from yesterday.

In the past someone has added some extra scenes to the 3/400 footer. I think it might have come from the single 1/400ft version. Those short extra scenes are really badly faded and will remove them, so beware there are some very badly faded prints out there I would suggest to avoid.

                          • I'll have to check my 400ft of it tonight. After I have finished the 400ft of The Turning Point I gave up on part way through last night. For some reason the sound was getting lower and lower in volume. I suspect the main track head of the Eumig 926 is either dirty or wearing out.

                            • Hi Brian

Hope your projector is fine and hope your print is still ok, although I used a blue filter and it does help a little bit. I feel once a print has gone totally red then its the end of the line, being to far gone in my book even for a filter, so hope your print is still in the ball park

                              • It must have been the print. Mutiny on the Bounty (400ft) sounded good and loud, though strangely at the end there were two more title sequences after the end credi with a voince saying ""Mutiny on the Bounty part one" and "Part Three" between them!!! I Bought the print S/H at Balckpool a few years ago, a bit pale but all colours present.
