What 8mm films did I watch last night?

I did have a sudden idea to make Mince Meat Pies after watching this film. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about though!! Haha!

With real meat like the middle ages type or just the fruit variety normally made nowadays?

One 600ft reel, after a good clean and lube projected those films through the GS1200 for the first time today. The joined prints were in very good condition with no visible scratches on the screen "nice prints ", I was also pleasantly surprised to see very good B/W contrast from Walton.

The Night Before Christmas - 1x 200' - Tom and Jerry

A Walt Disney Christmas - 1x 400' - Four abridged Christmas cartoons featuring all the gang.

Scrooge - 5x 400' - Alistair Sim. My first showing of this chestnut that I purchased in Accrington last September (East Lancashire Film Fair) but deliberately held back until now. This is only the second time ever I have seen this and the dvd I watched was the colourised version. This proper black and white version added a certain creepy atmosphere to it. Good picture quality, maybe a little dark in places, but just average sound.

Several nights ago : Paths To Paradise, a 1925 American silent film that has the particularity to have the last reel missing. It is said on Wikipedia that : "Essentially complete, the film is missing its final reel, which is usually filled in with synopsis by historians and film fans", although on my standard/regular 8 copy, there is no mention of the end missing. Fortunately, the story allows to end the film where it does nowadays. Maybe one day the last reel will resurface ?

Last night (as my Blu Ray copy of "No Time to Die" (which I am planning to watch Christmas Sunday) arrived I screened a 400ft reel of Bond trailers. Unfortunately most are rather pink, but it was cheap.

My daughter told me today, that its always been a tradition since she was small to watch "A Walt Disney Christmas" so we had a screening of it this afternoon. I forgot to tell her that I had altered the film slightly. What I did, was to remove those "Santa's Workshop" and "The Night before Christmas" extracts and replaced them with the complete films I had bought new from Derann years ago. Fitting the Derann "Santa's Workshop" and the Derann "The Night before Christmas" meant the film would now be exactly 525ft long onto a Eumig 600ft reel and Eumig box, and no longer in the empty 400ft box that Connor was holding today.

My daughter and Yvonne told me afterwards, that it made the film much better to watch with those two complete shorts, rather than the original extracts. In saying that "Toy Tinkers" is still the same as with "Pluto's Christmas tree".

PS Connor always likes handing out the tickets and showing everyone to there seats, then he starts and focus the GS1200 I just watch

A little homework on Google - the ship made
contact with the iceberg at the exact same time that

Tonight, an American silent comedy : Risky Business (1926). My (standard/regular 8) copy is mounted on a 360m/1200ft spool. Projected with the Eumig HID (coupled with the Spondon LPU), so I spent, once again, a good moment.

A belated Tom & Jerry "the Night before Christmas" (Film Office print on Agfa) some 'scope home movies of visits to steam railways and a couple of weddings followed by the 600ft digest of "Who Dares Wins" from Derann on LPP.

The 'Scope film was projected with the Isco lens I bought at Blackpool from Elaine guest. When the heavy part of a mounting "bracket" was removed it proved to be very similar in size to a Kowa 8Z and fitted the mount I use for that, if anything a better quality picture, so I am very happy with that.
