My new SW digest again. OK, I already have it in various forms on super 8, but the sharpness and color of this digest is really good and well worth the aquisition of it! The letterboxing doesn't cover the whole of the scope image, but enuf to make those panoramic widescreen shots look pretty good! I can say that I am extremely happy with all of these recent digests and the ability to re-release past super 8 glories and improve on them in the process. No one really knows as to how much longer these new digests will continue to flow, but even with the delays and problems getting them out to us, kudos to all involved!

Some nice screenings going on.
We watched Carry on Camping
Monster of peidras Blancas which i got with no stripe or sound.
Put some mag sound stripe on it and dubbed the sound track. Great fun watch now and a good vintage print.
Went to cinema today to see the 45th anniversary of Superman. Cancelled!

Golden times Doug and always nice to look back on. Never seen Casino Royale on S8 yet but the film production was taunted by problems, but what a cast list! It will be a great view with that excellent music.
Bit of a memory lane trip back to my youth with Collectors Club and still enjoying my first purchases from them well over 50 years ago.
The Vagabond, It's a Gift with sound wow!
Real, sorry REEL film is so much fun and how lucky we are to be able to enjoy the wonders of it in our front rooms or home Cinemas.

I admire that reel of yours Lee! I have one of those SW prints, with boxes signed by Dave Prowse on the release date of it on super 8. I love having that, but to actually have footage from that very day! Dave Prowse and others are long gone, but you have a living memory, in living color, of that day! Awesome! If you should ever choose to do so, it would be awesome to put that super 8 up on YouTube!

A Single 8 movie filmed I filmed of the MUSEUM of MOVING IMAGE shortly after Prince Charles opened it in 1988, shot with 200asa so a bit grainy but nice memory. Sited on London's south bank it was a lovely place to visit for anyone into movies but all I have left now are the 50ft, guide brochure and some great memories.
Also watched Reel collector favourites and Escape to Athena again. Quite a nice cut down for Walton Films that one 10/10
Ended with a Scope trailer reel including Premature Burial, I so love the varied filters they used in this movie.
Oh and Friday the 13th 3D trailer

Last night I watched a Walton 200' print of 'Cliff Sings' - which features three of the songs from 'Summer Holiday' performed by Cliff Richard and the Shadows. The sound quality was very good (for mono) but the print had loads of sparklies due to poor neg handling at the lab who produced it. Still, the colour was good.
