  • Yesterday, in standard 8, Return Of Draw Egan, a 1917 western with William S. Hart. The night before, Crainquebille, also on standard 8. A French silent film. I bought several other titles but they have not been cleaned and checked, yet.

      • Nice Bond lineup Mark!

I have recently screened on super 8:

Heckle & Jeckle Pirates Gold 200' color sound...excellent color and funny entry
The Olympian Hiawatha 200' B&W sound....train ride from Chicago to Washington state

        and on reg 8:

Laurel & Hardy Dirty Work 400' sound
        The Americano 2 X 400' silent....good sharp 1916 Douglas Fairbanks adventure

        • Laurel & Hardy silent extract called "A Night on the Tiles" obviously from a sound film (on 3M B&W stock) followed by the 2x400ft version of "Cat People" no edge name but from the leader seems a Buck Labs prints on genuine B&W stock.

I thought the combination of names appropriate.

          • Last night "Carry on up the Khyber" full length. I assume it is a Derann print (I bought it at a bring and buy) but it is on SP and I thought they have moved to low fade stock by the time they did this one. The colours are still mostly OK and it only cost me £50, so no regrets.

            • Needed a good laugh so watched the 3 X200 Walton of That's a Carry On

Probably one of the best S8 prints from Walton and made me chuckle.

              • Been running few of my oldest S8 films from the 1970's when I was a lad with hair.

AUTO CINE 200ft A look at Drive in cinema. Colour was red so this is one the great Alberto did the colour treatment on some months ago.

Video clip uploaded a few weeks ago.

                • Two Castle 8mm digests - - THE CREATURE FROM THE LAGOON and THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN.

It's funny, the Creature digest starts with super imposed titles for the narration in the beginning - then it cuts to action. Not one title found from that point forward. None needed. Haha.

                  • Lee - Amazing colour on those Carry On shorts. Pity the 4x 400' versions don't seem to have stood the test of time as well as those have. (Hope you and Mrs.M are on the mend from the dreaded 19)

Tonight I had quite a bumper night in the Man Cave as Mrs.E lapped up tonight's BBC/ITV schedules.

My treat to myself went like this......

Adverts 1x 200' - including Levi 501 jeans, the new Hillman Imp (!!!!) and Cream Crackers !

                    Easter Parade - Trailer
                    Flash Gordon - Trailer
War of The Worlds - Trailer (old version)
                    Independence Day - Trailer

Bride of Frankenstein - 1x 100' from Universal's "Great Scenes" series
Soda Squirt - 1x 200' B/W Flip The Frog cartoon featuring character versions of well known comedians

Little Shop of Horrors - 3x 600' Optical Sound. A very well worn print but a very steady picture.

                    • Tarzan Of The Apes, 1918. As a silent films amateur, I spent a good moment watching this film.

                        • I had an amazing cutdown night:
                          -Raiders Of The Lost Arc
                          -The Birds
                          -Eyes Of Laura Mars
Faded, but still watchable and very entertaining
