I know Derann did Arch of Triumph on standard 8 (I have the trailer on that gauge, and thought it rather amusing) but not on Super 8.

Hi Brian - Yes, it is definitely super 8. (Either that or the GS1200 has a "yet to be discovered by anybody" function of being a dual gauge machine - Ha Ha!)
It is also a Derann print as confirmed by the very long original leaders on reels 4 & 5
Three other points concerning the leader on the reels of this film ("Arch of Triumph" I am referring to). Firstly, the letters ZDF are printed on the main frame area several times along a black part of the leader. Also the countdown is not the normal academy countdown, AND the countdown goes down to 1 instead of stopping at 3

ZDF is a German TV station I wonder if it is a telecine leader, but that would be strange as all VT countdown clocks fade to black at 3 like film leaders.Comment

Sankyo projectors seem to be easy to upgrate to accept 1200 ft/360 m spools ; I have one with larger arms than the original ones.
Tonight, an Italian film : Operazione San Gennaro (1966). As all Italian copy, this one is faded but surprinsingly not too much, colours are almost all there on the day outdoors scenes and the darkers ones are not bad (with whites still there). Sound is in Italian, I could follow most of the dialogues but since the story is about people trying to steal jewells, it's not too difficut to understand.Comment

This would be the second time in the last few months running all four Ken films Star Wars 400ft digests, sadly a lot of this stuff has faded a bit, but it was fun to run them all on one reel..... I should add.... home made reels.
Its a squeeze but the do fit.....

Listened to my first 2XLP pressing on the old Thorens turntable and tube amp followed by the 1976 pre release S8 trailer and 400ft Ken Star Wars to celebrate finishing our complete series Blu-Ray marathon.
Had my Ken films colour treated by Movie Magnetic removing the red/pink now an acceptable watch again.Comment

The Man Who Knew Toi Much, the 1934 version of this Hitchcock film. I have the Blackhawk release. My copy is overall good but had several marks of "decomposition". No Idea why and if the stock will stay like that or if it will get worse with time
As many, I guess, I started projecting 50ft/15m black and white silent films so it's always a kind of miracle when I project a full sound feature without a break. A feeling, probably few people can understand nowadays...

Janice, it's a Bauer T502. Very quiet machine. I had it upgrated to a 2/3 blade shutter so at 24 fps, with its 150 watts bulb and a 1.1 lens, the picture is bright.Comment

Dom Is that the Spondon arm extender I see? They were the nicest couple of S8 dealers you could meet and one of the best specialists over here.
Super 8 Watched The Return of Dracula silent and I need to edit a sound track for it.
Single 8 sound THE MUSEUM OF MOVING IMAGE London. I filmed this pretty much the week it opened oh only 32 years ago taking advantage of the fast film available on the gauge. The museum covered all things film early optical experients, pioneers right the way to Star Wars.
When it closed they moved many of the display items to Bradford Museum and if you come to the 9-5 International next year you get to see them :-)
