        • When I miss going camping (like THIS year), I often watch “Carry on Camping”.

Something about it makes me miss camping LESS!

              • Grip of the strangler, Boris Karloff stars in this 1958 thriller, as usual he is on form and makes this a great 78 min watch. Of course this a st 8 B/W print and went through well on my Kodak 8 with HID lighting and 2200 foot arms. Just love these early B/W features, bags of atmosphere and no sign of CGI.

                    • Not the right time of the year for it, but we watched 1951's A Christmas Carol. OK, is there ever a bad time of the year for any film screening? 😁. Feature version, BTW.

                        • Last night the last 30 minutes from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre going more brown than pink and the French language La Naissance de Pinoccio (Film Office print). No film type edge markings on either, the Disney one is all black between the sprockets.

Brian. My Texas is probably the worst colour shift I have ever seen. I wouldn't part with it as it's one I got from Barry Wiles in the 70's collected at speed 25mph on my Honda moped in the old home county. He was a really great guy very encouraging and dont think I missed a ride over sat mornings to ogle at a shop stacked with super 8

                              • Quatermass, early Hammer production, still an enjoyable watch. The budget for this film was an eye watering £44,000. I would imagine in today’s money it would just about pay the tea boy. Standard 8 print of course!
